Anything that has got to do with electronics seems to be unlucky for me, very unlucky.
Let's see, the unlucky streak starts about a week ago.
1) Mum's PC spoiled, couldn't start at all, put in a spare motherboard and DVDRW, everything got fried when the cap-palang power supply died. (One reason why you should invest on a good power supply)
2) Bought a new PC (the gaming PC), some parts were not given, had to be delivered via courier, had to wait for couple of days.
3) In the same time, got my hand on Adrian's old pc which I was supposed to try to repair and sell on his behalf, but it was password protected, tried various ways to bypass the password, couldn't get him as he was in Singapore, somehow I managed to contact him and got it. After obtaining the password, I tried to put in some of my old parts into his PC but the stupid Dell computer was so rigid that it does not have enough resources to allocate to some of the devices. This is why I NEVER buy branded PC. (They are overpriced yet they use cheap components and claim that they are priced the cheapest) Spent two days trying to fix the PC, in the end everythign else had to be disabled (COM port, Parallel ports)
6) Graphics card (Gainward Nvidia 9600GT Golden Sample (handpicked)) started to show some weird problem, probably had to exchange for a new one.
5) Then, the keyboard that I spent an hour washing it so that it's so damn clean, my youngest brother accidentaly spilled Milo onto it, and yet he did not tell me. So when the keyboard started to act weirdly, I thought it's time to buy a new one, only after buying the new keyboard I realized it was too big for my workstation, so went back to the shop and change for a slimmer one, it was working fine. After that, I decided to open up the old keyboard and that's when I found the root of the problem, there were rotting Milo smell in the keyboard, which explains why the keyboard acted weirdly.
6) Went to fix network card for Jun Fei, got some minor electrocution as the casing was not grounded.
7) Ironically, my supposed-to-be-reliable Silverstone ST56F power supply died off infront of my eyes less than 7 days, went to Lowyat Plaza on Sunday hoping that it could be changed - shop was close, so I drove there for no reason.
8) Went again today, parts not available, distributor does not have anymore stock, distributor warehouse no more stock, and the next batch is on the way from Taiwan. That means no more gaming till the end of my semester break. When college reopens, I wonder if there would be time for gaming.
