I didn't know that Tun Dr Mahathir is having an open house this year until Aminpro commented in my last year's posts, in the morning I had to run some investment talk event with some friends so I managed to gather some friends to join me for his open house in the afternoon. Unfortunately, Ataraxis relied on his cacated edition of Garmin in his Nokia and ended up in land of nowhere, so it's just Iko and me there.
When I reached there, things were very different from last year, in fact too different. The number of guests were vastly reduced, maybe that's due to the lack of publication as mentioned earlier, he didn't even invite anyone via his blog, but instead via his Facebook event. We even drove all the way to the front of his house and could still find parking there unlike last year where we had to walk miles up.
So anyway, when I reached there, it was in between of the morning and the afternoon session so he was taking a break inside, while his son was welcoming the guests. Line was extremely short but line management was total disaster, everyone was cutting queue.
Then there's food, as usual, food from Palace of the Golden Horses.
There seemed to be proper controls to reduce wastages this year, last year the satays were put openly for all to take, and people were just taking like nobody's business, but never finish them, so this year, guests were given the satay sticks instead of taking themselves, yet it's really a shame to still see people taking food they could not finish.
Here's a photo of me and Tun Dr Mahathir, and his wife of course.

And so here's Tun receiving other guests
"Selamat Hari Raya"

Had another photo with Dato Mukhriz during lunch, he was flipping through his iPhone, why does everybody seemed to be crazy over iPhone huh?
With the line management in place, the line started to sprawl all the way back, but thankfully this time the shed was extended unlike last year.
Tram services provided to those who parked their cars at The Mines.
The residence of Tun Dr M
Managed to catch a glimpse of the inside of his house, and there's this big black orb kind of thing, feng shui I guess.
Anyway it was a great experience, but I really felt bad for those of my friends whom I called to join me, who eventually got lost.
