Page 1 of 4 It seems to be a very busy week eventhough I just finished my exam. I was offered a one time off job of event co-ordinator for the launching of Philea Resort & Spa, a 7 star logging resort at Melaka. I was looking forward to it because I was told that many VVIP's including PM Datuk Seri Najib and CM Ali Rustam would be there. Next I found out that the resort was owned by KK Chai, the owner of the familiar KK Marts.
It was my first time driving outstation, what else being assisted by GPS, to ensure that I take the right route, I actually studied the route, you won't want to take the wrong exit along North South Expressway, you could end up in Johor.

Staying here makes you feel close to nature

4 Units here, each costing RM700
It's going to be a long post, as I certainly have alot to share, it has been a fun day, we even got to stay in one of those rooms costing RM700 for free, and I thought we went there to work

We left house early morning at 6a.m, traffic was slow at MRR2 and GPS calculated the ETA of 2 hours which means we could be very well late for work, I drove a little faster, a little over the speed limit at times but drove in a very manner. We reached Melaka in a good 1 hour 30 mins, the resort is located right after the Ayer Keroh toll, just take the very first left turning.
GPS coordinate : East 102.3119690, North 2.298125
Everything seems brand new there. Even the road was still fresh with dirt from the lorries

Lorry washing the road

Lobby of Philea Resort & Spa, almost everything was made from timber.
So while waiting for the boss to brief us, I got so bored and I went on Facebook, you may have noticed me being quite active on Facebook Mobile recently. So now, let me take you on a tour around Philea Resort & Spa.

Bridge leading to waterfall

Everyone putting their final touch to the launching event, some villas unit on the right

Stage area where VVIP would be seated

On the left is the Chillout Bar, further front is Oasis dining area, and ontop of that is the ballroom.

Electronically powered buggies

Oasis dining area

The Oasis is surrounded by pond to give you the impression that it's floating.
The inside of the villa

Each room equipped with Panasonic LCD TV

Smart card access for each room, sort of too advanced for a supposedly 'nature' resort.

Beds, it was super comfortable, noticed the small table on the left side of the bed? It was small but very heavy that it needed 4 guys to lift it. So I heard it was made from Siberian wood.

Cyber cafe, each PC chasis was Cooler Master Centurion 5
Okay, enough of sight seeing, next I would take you guys through what we did on that day.
