 Now this will be a good news to perhaps every single taxpayers in Malaysia except those who make money out of it and particularly this person - Faiz Khaleed because Russia has just announced that they will no longer accept 'space tourists' in their future flights. I don't care what our ministers say, our angkasawan is only a space tourist.
MOSCOW - Russia won’t be sending tourists to the international space station after this year because of plans to double the station’s crew from three to six people, the head of Russia’s space agency said in an interview published Wednesday.
Russian Space Agency chief Anatoly Perminov told the government newspaper Rossiiskaya Gazeta that U.S. software billionaire Charles Simonyi — who has already flown to the station — will be the last private space passenger when he blasts off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in March.
He also said Russia has promised Kazakhstan it will send a cosmonaut from the ex-Soviet republic to the station “on a commercial basis,†and the only possible time for that voyage would be this fall.

It really reminds me of once, when one of the officer from the ministry was asked on what would our astronaut space-tourists do up there, and he gave this hillarious reply:-
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 15 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian pioneer astronaut will spin top and toss "batu seremban' (five-stone game) as part of an experiment during his space travel.
"The astronaut will also paint a batik motif and make 'teh tarik' ('pulled' tea) which would be shared with his fellow astronauts," said Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Ministry parliamentary secretary Datuk Rohani Abdul Karim.
Rohani, who was representing the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry, was responding to a supplementary question from Datuk Dr Marcus Mojigoh (BN-Putatan) in the Dewan Rakyat, here Wednesday.

I'm sorry Faiz, probably you can only dream about it while your friend is alleged to be making money from his ceramahs. At least I am happy our money is not burned away together with the rocket fuel. I don't care what other people say about the angkasawan project being free or whatever. There isn't really a free deal, the price of Sukhoi could be bloated and later on a tourists seat thrown in at no cost to the Russian since they will be going to the ISS anyway.
