I went to Lowyat Plaza yesterday to collect a motherboard which was sent in for warranty weeks ago due to overheating problem and I was notified that Gigabyte distributor has given a new revision of the motherboard.
While waiting for the technicial to fix the motherboard into the chasis, I went to hunt for keyboard and mouse for the MediaPC which I built months ago, but the plan to have a HTPC never materialize because the CRT TV wouldn't display images properly, no point getting a HDTV now as Astro is still providing standard definitions shows, and watching 'standard' definition shows on 'high' definition shows is just like putting a Kancil engine in a Ferrari, no matter what, it's still a Kancil.
So while I was shopping for keyboard & mouse, I was thinking whether to get a cheap keyboard & mouse set for RM30 or invest in a better one, say RM55. And I finally decided to get the latter, but just as I was about to carry the keyboard and mouse to the counter, I saw this Logitech Deluxe Starter Kit which features the same keyboard & mouse + a USB 'digital' speaker at a slightly expensive price. It was priced at RM69 but 'members' get to buy it for RM65 so I told the salesman, give me RM65 or I walk off, and so I managed to get that price.
Took it home, and set up the new PC.

The keyboard offers a reasonable tactile feeling while the mouse works flawlessly

The USB 'Digital' speakers, while digital is a word reserved for high end speakers, this one is theoretically a 'digital' speaker because the sound are transmitted digitally via USB cable into the speaker instead of SPDIF/Optical jack.

One USB cable to provide audio and sound.
To power this latest addition of PC to my home network, requires just one power outlet. Monitor and speakers are powered by PSU, whereas mouse, keyboard, WiFi are powered via USB.
And since all PC's are networked, we share each other resources and our hard drives are accessible among ourselves via network drive.

And since all PC's are powerful enough to run Counter-Strike and some LAN games, it's time for me and my 3 other brothers to play Counter-Strike against the bots.
Luckily, my 3COM office router is powerful enough to route traffic among all PCs and QoS policies ensure all PC can surf the net flawlessly.
