WCG 2008 Final - UPDATE

UPDATE - I just received a call from them, my time for the day was UNBEATEN, hence I would compete in the finals tomorow, the top 6 ! However, I am abit worried of my performance tomorow, but no doubt, I will try my best

So after all the practice, I went to WCG this morning and went to the Intel booth for the final leg. It was a dissapointment when I found out that they actually wanted me to clock another time and compare my time with any other passerby and from there, top 2 person from every day (Fri, Sat, Sun) would come together tomorow to compete for the grand prize of Intel Quad Core gaming PC.

So I went into the simulator and the track was loaded. While exiting the pit lane, I was testing the wheel and pedal to familiarize myself. It was a horror when I found out that traction control was turned off, I spun a couple of times during the warm up lap. However, I got used to the pedal and manage to clock a good 1:26 on the track without traction contorl. I would make it into the finals tomorow only if one people managed to defeat my time. I clocked a strong time, now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that no one would defeat my time.

My hand was quite numb as the result of trying to balance the steering which was not really calibrated properly.

At least I was given a multi purpose Torch + screwdrivers and a stress ball. The stress ball did come in handy, can relieve me of the stress while waiting to know if I managed to clock the best time tomorow as well as while waiting for my exam results this Monday.
