New semester

So, the new semester has begun. New subjects, new lecturers, and since we would be merging with other CAT groups, that means new friends.

So starting this semester, I am taking another 4 subjects - T6 (Drafting Financial Statements), T7(Planning - Control and Performance Management) T8 (Implementing audit procedures) and T9 (Preparing taxation computations).

I have to say that I love the new timetable so much. From Monday to Wednesday, class is from 11.30am to 6p.m. Then on Thursday it's from 6a.m to 2.30p.m. What about Friday? Well there's no class at friday at all. So 4 days of studying, 3 days of weekends.

First class was by Ms Yu, having been taught by her for the last 6 months, we could adapt to the new subject very well. The only difference is that classes duration are longer, 3 hours from the previous 2 hours.

Then, it was T6 by Mr Jana. When I entered the class, I saw him sitting on the chair with a fierce look. I was telling myself that I'm going to suffer alot in his class. But then he started speaking, the first 5 minutes of his speech made us laugh so much that I then realize that T6 is definitely going to be enjoyable.

Today, I had T8 and T9, two very new subjects, Audit and Taxation. T9 was by Ms Joyce, Ms Yu earlier told us that we can't fool around in her class as she would not hesitate to throw students out of her class. I was expecting a fierce lecturer but she was not fierce as expected. Perhaps I have not seen her true colour yet. All of our classes comprises of 2 groups merged together, except for T8 Audit paper where 4 groups merged together for that paper, cramped in a lecture theatre. Mr Jay is the lecturer for this subject, gave us some brief introduction to the subject and then we moved on to the first chapter straight away.

One thing I realize about Sunway lecturers are :

1) Some of them were students at that college before they graduated

2) One of my lecturer's wife is also a lecturer at the same college

3) My lecturer's lecturer is also a lecturer at the same college

I barely get homeworks for the past 6 months, now they seem to be coming in. As for T7, there are already homework exercises, and for T9, we are suppose to collect audit reports from few public listed companies in their annual reports.

I can sense that I am going to get real busy starting this semester. I plan to put in extra more effort this semester compared to what I have put in last semester. Time to spend less time on gaming. Thank god I just finished playing Need for Speed Pro Street and Call of Duty 4 so unless I got my hand on new games, I would be spending less time on computer.
