It has been another long break away from blogging. I have been busy preparing for my CAT exam for Paper T3, T4 and T5 starting this Wednesday. I have been trying out questions from the revision kits but I wonder if I could finish them in time.
Well, as I was studying yesterday, I heard that there is a F1 simulator game at WCG 2008 @ Lowyat Plaza where the top finisher would stand a chance to win a Quad Core based computer. Better still, the track that they are playing is the upcoming race in the F1 calender which is the Montreal, Canada track. I have been playing the track nowadays so when I heard the best lap time was 1:40 I knew I could do better as I usually clock 1:18 on the keyboard, I could definitely get better time playing using a racing simulator.
So I thought I take a break from all the studying and check out the event, as well as checking out some PC stuff that I would be getting for my new computer after the exam.
When I reached there the first thign I tried was the racing simulator, I signed up, and I was already worried because the racing wheel is not calibrated enough and all the driver aids are turned on which would slow me down. I was thinking, I could act like I don't know how to play the game and cut all the chicane and get some extra 10 seconds off my time.
I tried to do that but the driving aids slowed the car automatically upon reaching the corners, the wheel is not calibrated so the car kept slowing down unnecessarily. Despite all the problems, I manage to clock 1:37, the second fastest for the day at WCG @ Lowyat. Apparently the top 100 racers from the F1 simulator challenge would be invited to play in the grand finals in WCG later on at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre at August this year. I'm waiting
Well, time to let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

After my exam this week, I'm going to get myself a new computer, I have been waiting long for a gaming pc, at least a middle range gaming pc. Then at least I can game whole day during the 3 weeks of holidays.
So these would be the specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
Gigabyte EP35 DS3
Kingston DDR2 800 1GB x 2
Gainward Geforce 9600GT 1GB GDDR3 Extreme OC
Silverstone ST56F
Cooler Master CM590
I plan to use back my old DVDRW and HDD so I could save some money on that part. I was in a dilemma when choosing the casing for my computer. I am split between getting Cooler Master CM590 or Silverstone PS01BW.
