| Goodbye and Hello :) |
It's that time of the year again!
A week full of Christmas parties and New Year parties :)
2008's coming to an end..
Let's see what I can recall...
The Beijing Olympics.
Obama becoming president.
Heath Ledger's death(which kinda helped The Dark Knight rake in the $$millions$$).
The melamine scare.
The "economy-crisis" scare.
The emergence of the new "boybands" - whiny boys trying to rock (Case in point- The Jonas Brothers, Boys Like Girls, We The Kings, etc etc...) I still love them though :)
Hannah Montana's world domination.
Yadda yadda yadda...
Well... 2008 was an interesting year for me...
I started college.
I met a whooooole lotta interesting people there...
From the foos addict to the DOTA-crazed to the facebooking stand-up comedian lecturer to the kinky Latin dancer to the self-proclaimed Tan Sri to the emo-screamo music fan to the downright annoying boy in class whose sole purpose is to drive you mad. =P
Ohhhhhhh you know you are ;)
I love you all anyways :)
I got my SPM results!! And it was kick-ass! ;)
I rocked out at 2008 MTV Asia Awards with the fabulous Mosh Pitters and MAN were they awesome!! =D
I tried ice-skating.
I never once let go of the railings or my friend's hand.
That failed miserably.
I tried learning how to ride a bicycle.
I never rode more than two revolutions of the wheels at any one try.
That failed miserably too.
I took up salsa! :)
Now THAT one I didn't fail. Not miserably, at least XD
And 2008 was fun :)
A girl in love always has fun ;)
Haha... Oh the corniness...
I'm sorrayyy... =P
And oh, yes...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
May we all have a rocking 2009 :)
I love you all ;)

| Tv time! |
I'm loving accounting!!
(As nerdy as that may sound...)
No, accounting isn't dull and boring...
No, accountants aren't bespectacled no-lifers sitting at the desk from 9 to 9 the next morning...
No, I'm not trying to console myself..
It really, really is interesting! =D
I mean, especially with the current credit crisis where every Tom, Dick and Harry and Barry and Sally are talking about debts, equity, capital, gearing, liquidity and whatnot.
Before I took Accounting in college, I used to skip the gibberish Biz section in the newspapers...
Now I can read the articles AND understand them =D
I don't just look at the embarrassingly funny pictures of the CEOs (You know, the shot with their mouths open when the picture was taken when they were talking in the interview or something..) =P
Now I actually GET what they're talking about =D
Loss leader ?
EPS?
Hah. No problem mannn...
*that terrer feeling*
Lol.
Anyway...
My finals are over! :)
Now I'm on my December break...
Waiting for classes to resume in January again...
I'm one of those (few)people who prefer classes/work to long, long holidays...
Long, long holidays(in this case, it's a two-and-a-half-week holiday) are a bore.
So I started baking. A lot.
Pineapple tarts :)
Green pea cookies :)
Ah don't wanna bore you with the details...
Okay.
So during my boring holidays, I sat my bum in front of the tv a lot.
And I get SO annoyed watching Astro channels because of the ads.
(It's like watching Ad-TV with snippets of Heroes as the commercial breaks)
And recently... There's the Malaysian rip-off of the show Dancing With The Stars...
It's called Sehati Berdansa.
If you watch Astro, you know you've seen the commercials promoting the show...
And I got so annoyed at first that I didn't notice how HILARIOUS it is!!
SO...
One Sunday, I decided I'd check it out...
Oh my god.
These people would pass off the chicken dance as a waltz if you told them to!
XD
Now I'm no dance expert...
But... I've watched enough Ballroom Bootcamp and I've sat through enough traditional dance shows to know what dance is...
And the chicken dance is not.
Hooooo-leeeeee ker-rap.
The worst part?
While the duo were practising their 'moves'...
The choreographer would be sitting down, telling them "Okay... Steps kamu okay..."
Hoooooooo-leeeeee ker-rap!!
Where on earth in Malaysia did they FIND these so-called choreographers??
How could you let the dancers do whatever they do on national tv???
*whew*
Okay.
ANDDD their clothes!!
Oh dear.
They go on national tv in clown outfits and some ugliness that I don't know how to decribe in words.
You just have to watch it to believe it...
Ah the things they do to become a selebriti Malaysia...
The next time any of you get offers to star in a M'sian production...
I urge you to please...
DEMAND to meet the fashion co-ordinator before you sign the contract!! |

| Minor. |
So I was talking to a friend...
He asked what the 'legal age of consent' is in Malaysia...
And I wasn't exactly sure...
Sixteen or eighteen?
Eighteen or sixteen?
When in doubt, Google it =)
And I found some quite interesting schtuff...
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia -
Main article: Age of consent The age of consent for sex in Malaysia is 16 for both males and females. (Yep, I've got the consent of the Malaysian law =P )
In China the national legal age of consent for sexual activity is 14 years, regardless of gender and/or sexual orientation. (No wonder they're over-populated)
India's age of consent for heterosexual sex is 16, except in the state of Manipur, where it is 14. If the partners are married to each other they may legally engage in sexual activity at a lower age (13 in Manipur and 15 elsewhere). (Wonder if the child marriage practice is still going on there...)
According to Israeli's law list (1977), the age of consent in Israel is 16 for any form of sex. Sexual relationships are allowed from ages 14-16, as long as the male is less than 3 years older than the female, and both sides agree and do it willingly (example: a 17 year old male may have sex with a 14 year old female, and an 18 year old male may have sex with 15 year old female). ("Hey there good-lookin... Let's have some fun tonight..." "Err, wait ah, how old are you? Fourteen ah.. Wait ah, lemme count first. *counts fingers*" )
The age of consent in The Philippines is 12 but contract minors under 18. (Don't know what contract minors are)
In Indonesia the age of consent for heterosexual sexual activity is 19 years for males and 16 years for females. (Double standards-nyerrr...)
The age of consent in South Korea is 13 regardless of gender and/or sexual orientation. (Freakishly young. Imagine your little Form One sister gettin it on with some other ku-chi-rek boy)
In Vatican City, there is an equal age of consent set at 12 years of age in Art. 331 (1). When there is a relationship of dependence (like teacher/student, etc.) the age of consent is 15 years in Art. 331 (2) (TWELVE??? In THE VATICAN??? SERIOUSLY???)
The general age of consent in Paraguay is 14 regardless of gender and/or sexual orientation. The age of consent for extramarital intercourse with married female adolescents is 16. (Maybe they're short of women there, I don't know)
The age of consent in Singapore is 16 for or all opposite-sex activity and only female same-sex sexual activity. Under section 377A (outrages on decency) in the Penal Code states that; Any male person who, in public or private, commits, or abets the commission of, or procures or attempts to procure the commission by any male person of, any act of gross indecency with another male person, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years. Which means all male same-sex sexual activity (including mutual masturbation, oral and/or anal sex) is still illegal and the punishment is up to two (2) years jail, hardly ever enforced upon. (Ho ho ho... Kesian the queer men of Singapore...)
In Madagascar, the age of consent is 14 years, according to article 331 in the Criminal Law. In certain cases, including relatives and homosexuals, it is 21 years. (Holy crap there's an age of consent for incestuous relationships!)
The age of consent in Kenya is 16 years, for heterosexual males, females and female homosexuals. Male homosexuals get 25 years in prison. (Again, the poor queer men of Kenya...)
Currently the age of consent in Guyana is 13 for lesbian females and heterosexual males and females, however legislation to raise the age to 16 is under discussion. Whilst male homosexual 'indecency' and all attempted anal sex carries a 10 year sentence, anal sex itself is punishable with life imprisonment. (Life is great for the lesbians and heteros but the gay men have it bad in most countries... Even ATTEMPTED anal sex gets you behind bars for a good decade.)
According to the Book of My Mother's Laws, the age of consent is... 30. |

| Shoot. |
You know Christmas is near when the shops start selling Christmas gift packs and baskets :)
I don't really celebrate Christmas as my religious fest but I LOVE IT!!
I love it when the malls start playing Christmas carols and decorate the place with trees and its trinkets... The whole mall just suddenly comes alive with a warm, fuzzy atmosphere in the name of Christmas...
AND THE BODY SHOP STARTS DISPLAYING ITS CHRISTMAS SPECIALS! =D
It's so yummy that I can lather the product all over myself and start licking it off the back of my hand like a cat XD Haha... Dear Santa, please drop a SHIPLOAD of the Christmas Special Cranberry and Plum Body Lotion in my... Err... I've no chimney, so dropping it on my bed would do juuust fine XD Ah. Okay.
Back to the pretty malls..
Although yes, they're all just gimmicks to get the shoppers in a cheery mood to buy more..
But still :)
They say this time around the malls won't spend so much on their decor..
Y'know.. because of the looming black cloud of an economy crisis that everyone's talkin about...
(But according to Zeti of the Bank Negara, Malaysia won't be badly hit by it)
My logic is that the malls should spend even more on the festive decor!!
Put more effort into luring the shoppers to spend more, yadda yadda yadda...
Why do I care so much?
I don't know, I guess I just love looking at beautiful schtuff...
The fairy lights on the trees...
The different shades of red on the lanterns and flowers during Chinese New Year...
The coloured rice beautifully arranged into a kolam durig Deepavali...
Yes, I love all things beautiful.
Yes I love pampering my eyes...
By lookin at beautiful things..
Beauty is very subjective, no?
So yeah... This is how I 'pamper' my eyes...
Going to the college bookshop during my breaks to flip through a men's magazine just to ogle at the cover guy - Patrick Dempsey in a suit =P and oh yes! His ad for Versace... *sigh*
Looking at the page in my exam booklet where I got full marks for Question 2a (But refusing to turn to Question 2b on the next page because the marks are lousy) =P
Lookin at shoes.. Beautiful shoes... Zebra print is my obsession nowadays, I don't know why...
Watching good rockin concerts... I can spoil myself with great sights and sounds watching Muse perform live..
Polar bears and puppies. Beautiful!!
Red and yellow flowers...
The sky and its cotton clouds...
Chocolate brownies...
My mum. Beauty in two words.
Watching my dad laugh(wheezingly) at a rerun of FRIENDS...
Seeing my hunny smile =)
Okay, change of topic!
So I was watching Heroes and I got sooo irritated.
When you have the villain at gun point, don't hesitate, JUST SHOOT!!!
ARRRGH!!!
I hate it when the good guy hesitates to shoot just to let the villain manipulate the situation and kills the good guy instead.
Grrr...
SHOOT HIM ALREADY!! SHOOT!! SHOOT!! SHOOOOOT!!!!!!!

| Arranged. |
I had sushi for dinner on Saturday!
Yay! Sushi!
Didn't like it before, still don't like it, won't ever like it.
Except for that pregnant fish thing... (Sashibu? Sashimu? Not sure what it's called)
Oh and I've always liked chawan mushi :)
But seriously... Sushi? *bleghh*
I mean, raw salmon?
Pass.
Rice wrapped with seaweed?
Pass. They're weeds for a reason.
And wasabi?
It's not even spicy, it's some odd-tasting cheap thrill for your nasal cavity.
Yep.
Give me anything, Indian food, Malay cuisine, Chinese cooking, Western, Italian, Thai, anything!
Just not Japanese sushi.
Oh but tempuras and teppanyaki's great :)
But I couldn't have any say on Saturday's dinner because my dad's friend from Indonesia came down to M'sia and we went to Genting where the casinos were and it just so happens that his(my Dad's friend's) wife and his mum loves sushi.
Oh well.
*flushes down the raw salmon with hot hot ocha* (That's green tea in Japanese right?)
Yeah. I hope the salmon gets cooked by the rush of hot tea in my food tract.
So anyway, now lemme get to the part which cracked me up that night.
My Dad's friend(let's call him Uncle S from now) and his wife and his mum can only speak Mandarin with minimal English. So the whole time they talked to me, I could just smile/grin/"Mm hmm"/"Oh"/nod/etc as my reply.
To my defense, my Mandarin's OKAYYY.
I CAN understand what you say, thank you very much.
I CAN reply in Mandarin too. Just that it'll sound really odd. =D
Okay back to the story!
At one point, Uncle S turned to me and suggested to me(in Mandarin) to meet his son so we could get hitched.
I was still smiling/grinning/"Mm hmm"-ing/"Oh"-ing in reply to his suggestion...
Then they went on la.. He was like, oh my son's good-looking, like a Korean superstar...
(Yeah apparently the 26-year old boy's got a Japanese girlfriend, if I'm not mistaken.)
Then his mum chimed in... Said I could move back to Indonesia with them... I won't need to work... Each child would have their own personal servant... If you have three kids, you'd have three servants...
LOL.
At this point it was so funny I couldn't help laughing XD
Then Uncle S asked if I had any current partner.
Then he answered his own question in Bahasa Indonesia "Kalau ada, boleh potong"
Then he and my dad 'shook hands' over it.
XD
Hilarious at that point of time.
Oh well.
That Japanese girlfriend of Uncle S's son would fit in wayyyyyy better with the family's fav food. =P |

| "Go stand in the corner!!" |
Has anyone been sent to stand in the corner as a kid before??
Well, okay, so my classmates and I had to discuss this topic - child discipline.
And the lecturer asked us to share our personal experiences with the class.. And NO ONE spoke so I said "Yeah, when I was a kid, my mum punished me by making me stand in the corner for a reasonably long time"
Of course, it must've felt like forever when I was standing in the corner...
I expected some classmates to agree with me and go like "Oh yeah, I had to do that too!"
But no.
The class was silent and went like "Err..."
Apparently NO ONE else had been punished to the corner before!! Wow!!!
So they started making fun of it, lalala, and yeah.
But hey, look how good and DISCIPLINED I turned out, right? =D
And those of you who've never been sent to stand in the corner before... Look how YOU turned out!! XD
Mwahahaha... Don't you wish your mum did the same? =P
Now you know how to discipline your kids in the future ;)

| I'm the new addition to Heroes! |
I've just discovered my new superpower...
Well actually, I've discovered it long ago back in secondary school, but it wasn't fully developed yet back then...
I guess with with great age comes great superpower... (Heh? Nevermind.)
Back to the story!
I...
Can...
Write in my sleep!!
Yes! It's absolutely true!
The Rachel can write in her sleep!
No longer does she need to stay awake in class to take down the lecturer's notes...
Isn't that just awesome??
XD
I was in class just now, and halfway through copying down the answers for some question, I just fell into sleep mode.
BUT...
I felt my eyelids opening a liiiiiiittle bit every now and then...
Of course la, my eyes can't see through my eyelids whaaat...
My hand was still holding onto my pen, scribbling what I "saw"...
So yeah, I was "asleep" for probably........five or ten minutes??
Then I woke up and felt totally re-energized and I look at my notes and WOW!
I amaze myself.
XD Hahaha... Sorry, I'm not usually this much of a narcissist.
But hey! It's cool :)
And the awesome awesome part of it all??
(I'm studying accounting, so most of the accounts need columns for the figures to go into...)
All the figures are aligned in their proper columns!! =D
Of course, it's a lot of scribbles and the pen mark trailing off in many places...
But that ain't gonna change the fact that I have superpowers!!
You know you wish you had it too ;)
XD

| S. E. X Gossip! |
In the midst of my exam season...
Denise had this street carnival she was hosting...
So Alex and I went to check out what it was about.
Screw Cost Management, bring on the street carnival!!
At least, that was what I thought..
It was something Gossip... At Asia Cafe, near Taylors Subang..
Then we got there, and the ongoing event for the day was...
A sex forum.
XD Hahaha...
You know, a group of curious teens asking questions and discussing the used-to-be-and-may-still-be taboo topic with some adults in the know..
Yeah.
I learnt that female condoms existed.
Wa-hey! Something new! :)
Betcha didn't know too huh =D
And since it was sponsored by Durex, lubricants were flowing freely...
No that did not sound like how I intended it to be XD
But anyways, we used minty pleasurizing lube as lip balm.
Durex can start a cosmetics line soon =D
And I learnt that if you were to have sex in the car, do not park your car in The Boulevard, where the Malaysian AIDS Organisation Headquarters is.
XD
Oh!! And there's a 'condom' for lesbian lovers...
Yep. A special type of condom for tongues...
You may not find it here in KL but that's okay... You can always substitute it with cut-up normal condom or... CLING WRAP.
Heheh..
Well there were other topics...
Like, how to talk about sex with your parents..
How to be comfortable with the subject...
How to use a condom correctly... Howtobecarefulwhenrippingthefoilwrapperoffwithyourteethintheheatedmoment...
Much more. =P
And yes... Screwed my Costing exam the very next morning.
But yay!
I learnt about the different forms of rubber! =D |

| The dude, again. |
Okay, there has obviously been a misunderstanding in my previous post...
I didn't mean that we were gettin freekie in the car, I just said that guys taking their shirts off and going around in only their jeans is hot =D
And there's NOTHING wrong with guys sans their shirts...right??
Nothing wrong with that, so Kim (and Hsiennie), think back to goody goody Rachel again =D
0:-)
Hahhaha... And no, I don't strip in the car, Weng Hoe, thank you very much you wanko =P
Stripping in public is a no-no...
But... I've always wanted to play a stripper at a club for a night XD
You know, dancing, circling the shiny metal pole in the skimpy skirt and then taking it off to just the lacy bra and panties...
Where men shove hundred dollar bills into...
Lol okay that only works for male strippers but whatev... =D
But that'll just be for a night only.
And I'll wear those decorated masks so no one would know it's me. Mwahahahahah.....
Oh well...
Back to reality, there seriously is a sick dude in my neighbourhood.
A few months back I dedicated a post to this sick sick dude in my neighborhood who stole underwear.
I believe it's the same dude again.
The dude struck again.
Lol.
Yeah, so my mum took out the clothes to dry and then left it for awhile...
When she went back she noticed some of them missing and yeah la, how many sickos can one neighborhood be 'blessed' with?
So my mum got reallllllly ticked.
When she catches him, she's reallllllly gonna give him a sounding.
And trust me, when she sounds someone... Har-har-har.
The dude's balls would shrink back into his body.
The dude would lose his sex drive and interests for women and his weird fetish for underwear. Stealing underwear, to be exact.
The dude would probably turn gay.
The dude would... *gasp!* start stealing men's underwear instead!!
Heehee =P

| One ordinary night on the road... |
Alright, so I have this thing for men in suits and tuxes.. The smart look's definitely got me wanting to...urm..... Heheh. :D *looks away*
Yeah, so I absolutely prefer a man in suit/shirt than a t-shirt and most girls do too... The dude can have six- or eight packs and great broad shoulders for all I care, but I'd wayyy love looking at the Armani model more :)
But recentlyyy.... I've discovered something sooooo yummy I can't stop thinkin' about it.
We were in the car, my boyfriend and I... It was night time and the roads back to my place weren't all that busy... So I don't know why or how we got to this idea... But I got him to take his shirt off.
XD
Ahahahahahah...
He was in a shirt and a pair of jeans...
And he started un-buttoning his shirt... And when we got to the traffic light, he took off his seatbelt and *swoosh*
Nope, that's not my boyfriend... Just a random picture when I Googled "male models in jeans" XD
Again, no, that's not him either... But it that was, that girl would be me and wow, I have an ah-mayyy-zing body. =P Heh. Just some eye candy for y'all to enjoy ;)
But back to my story... The lights turned green, he strapped the belt back on, pushed the shirt onto my lap and stepped on the accelerator...then turned to flash his ever-there smile at me...
*licks lips*
The moonlight that illuminated the dark sky made his bare chest glow like some ethereal (English-)Greek god...interrupted by intervals of yellow rays from the streetlamps... And that got me oh-so...
*bites bottom lip*
.....................................................................................................
Lol. Well. One thing's obvious, I can't write amorous love stories out. Nor can I get into erotica. XD
Streetlamps??
Seriously?? Hahaha...
Anyway... Can't cerita so much. Hee-hee. =D
I love you, Lex :)
And while we're on the topic of eye candy... Here's one, Tashie! Uh-huh, the picture's small, but you know this very well ;)

| Rewards |
Back in February this year, our lecturer promised us that if we alllllllll pass her paper, she'd throw a party for us at her house.
Why her house?
Cos we found out that her house is 'stocked' with enough gadgets to keep a classful of teenagers happy =D
A PS1, PS2 and PS3
An Xbox
And a Nintendo Wii!
All belonging to her husband's and kids', of course =)
So the whole class passed the exam and we finally got to wreck, I mean, visit her house last Saturday...

Su Wei, me, Michelle - miss you two so much!

The three of us, waiting for our turn at the Wii =D

The three of us fell asleep waiting for our turn at the Wii -_-

Kar Hoe dancing to HANNAH MONTANA on the Wii! XD

Watch out, Jonas Brothers, Kar Hoe can trump you guys with his HANNAH MONTANA moves weyh! XD

Fariz and Kar Kien knocking each other out on the Wii... they're umm..boxing :)

Fariz totally trashed Kar Kien at boxing - Fariz, you puasa ke, tak? Not bad for someone who's been fasting the whole day :) |

| Swimmers |
So I have this very weird theory to share.
(Taken from Wikipedia)
" Veganism is a diet and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose.
Vegetarianism is the practice of a diet that excludes meat, (including game and slaughter by-products), fish (including shellfish and other sea animals) and poultry. "
I know this is a bit crude to be on my child-friendly page, but this means that all vegetarians and vegans can't have oral sex.
XD
Cos then they'd be consuming the little swimmin' sperms. And they're living 'animals' of some sort...
Well, we are animals ourselves, so yes, they can't have blowjobs.
Unless they use a rubber.
Mwahahahahah.....

| Lookin' down down down.. :) |
For the past few weeks, I've been going for dance lessons. Yeah yeah laugh all you want =P
SALSA!!
Well yeah, sure it looks hot and heavy and sexy and passionate in pictures...
But when you're just starting out, it makes you look like a dead log trying to dance!
XD
I'm going for lessons at Salsajay with my hunnybunny XD , Sammie and Jeannie...
(Yes I like to end everyone's names with a '-ny') Lex -> Lexy Tash -> Tashie Sam -> Sammie Jean -> Jeannie Dan -> Danny Can't seem to 'ny' Denise's name though.
Oh well, back to the oh-so-sexy Salsa.
I CAN'T sway my hips very well apparently.
I'm shy.. *blush blush*
=P
So we usually have shines pratices then we move on to our partner-ing practices...
And we rotate partners in the same line...
So for the past two weeks, I've been on the same line with this guy...
And he's like, a pro at this.
(and he can sway better than me XD)
He's this tall, cute dude. TALL.
So everytime I dance with him, he looks down at (short lil') me. And he just stares blankly down at me!!
Maybe it's because he's a pro, he doesn't need to worry about his footwork or his arms(strong arms =P) or anything... But I do!
I have to constantly look down at my feet to make sure they don't trod on him or anything, and everytime I feel that my footwork is going to be fine, I look at the guy and I find him just staring at my face.
His eyes, just looking at me, staring staring staring! And I can't tell the expression, it's like constant non-expression.
AAAUUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought I was awesome at eye contact but nooooOOOOO!!!!
This guy's like, sleepy eyes, which is pretty adorable, but he just stares and stares and stares as if he mocking me. And his lips are pouty pouty which makes me laugh 'cos I just didn't know what else to do.
I couldn't stare back for more than 5 seconds without a break.
I'm thaaat pathetic.
"STOP IT!!"
Hahaha...
HELPPP!!
Then I start searching for places to look. Looking sideways would make me seem like I don't know what to do...
So I am constantly looking at my feet.
BUT most steps are the close-proximity steps so I can't really look at my feet.
And my eyes are still looking downwards.
So it makes me look like I'm staring at his umm... Staring um..below his waist..between his legs..
XD

| MTV & the Olympics |
Last night I was watching the Lee Chong Wei vs Lin Dan match for the Badminton Singles Men.
The match for the gold medal.
And although Chong Wei got the silver, he is still AH-MAYYYY-ZING... =)
But what's with the naming system la??
Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei's names are both Chinese, but the first-name-last-name problem alllllways crops up for us.
The surnames are capitalised in the Olympics channels thingy right...
And it was like...
LIN Dan Chong Wei LEE
Totally made him sound like a girl.
Chong Wei Lee.
It does!!
Anyway... The China supporters were bloody loud, shouting for Lin Dan.
"LIN DAN, JIA YOU!!"
Home support. Pfft..
Wait til they both come to play at Msia, I'll MAKE SURE I'll go there and cheer Lin Dan's ears off with.. err...
"CHONG WEI - BOLEH!!"
Hahaha...
And then maybe hire people to flash and distract Lin and then Chong Wei can finally smash the shuttlecock in Lin's groin like what he did in the semis with the Indonesian guy.
XD
Kesian the Indon player.
Of alllll places to get a shuttlecock smashed into you. =P
Oh well, at least Lee gave Lin a good fight for the gold =)
Yay Chong Wei! :)
That aside...
Allow me to talk and yak and blab about the...
MTV ASIA AWARDS 2008
=D
It was awesome.
From the beginning to the end.
Got on the bus with Denise, Avril, Andre and then met a whole lotta new friends...
Mosh Pitters!! Gotta love them! =D
We were standing at the Red Carpet for about... Three hours? Yeah.. Waiting and waiting untuk para selebriti sekalian to walk down the Red Carpet. Here comes Jared Leto! (who's actually good-looking in person sans the heavy guyliner) =P
One Republic!! Man we were singing (screaming) out the words to Apologize (while trying our best to keep the tune XD) and Stop and Stare when they walked down the Red Carpet. Their manager had this o.o look on his face... Yeah, you know you've made it big in Asia :)
That's me trying to be all "ROCK ONNN!!" Apparently that look doesn't suit me much. XD
Panic at The Disco receiving an award.. For something... I forgot.
I absolutely love One Republic =)
The Click Five performed... AGAIN. Lol!!
I think this would be their FOURTH time in Msia...
The Pussycat Dolls giving out awards... The lucky Phllippino(or was it Indonesian?) band that got to hug them after taking their awards from the Dolls? Got boo-ed by the guys in the Mosh Pit =P
I saved the best for last =) Ladies and gentlemen, The Script. That's Danny O'Donaghue on the lead vocals. An Irish band who totally blew me away with their song, The Man Who Can't Be Moved... Kinda reminded me of U2's music and Danny kinda looks like JD Fortune of INXS. Maybe it's the Irish charm, but their songs are good =)
And yeah. I'm loving their new self-titled album.
Mine! :D |

| Of instant noodles, tax, and divorce. |
I have been eating a lot of instant noodles.
I mean A LOT.
I don't really know how to measure it but I finished a pack of six in two weeks.
TWO WEEKS!
And I know it's bad... I know it's got all the MSG stuff and blahblahblahwhatnot...
But it's so yummieee! =D
Haha... So that's gonna take off some months or even years off my life.
But HEY, ya'know what??
My tax lecturer said it's good to die young in Malaysia.
That is, dying young after you retire la..
Something about the pension...
See, Malaysians only receive their pension after they retire, unless they bought annuities before...
Retirees in Malaysia don't receive government financial support unlike some countries like Australia.
Yes.
So, we Malaysians only get our pension, which isn't very much.
So if you lived a very long life, you'd have very little to live on.
That's my lecturer's logic la - "If you die young after you retire, you have less financial problems to worry about."
But then again, you might have children. (Rely on them?? =P)
Or you might have amassed a fortune from when you were working. (Good for you!)
Or you might have your own business / lotsa properties / real estate / shares / cars / wives / husbands(oops!) / etc etc...
OH OH!!
She(my tax lecturer) was telling us a story...
(To explain why we should buy annuities but I'll just skip that part out)
Anyways... There was this wealthy business guy and his pampered wife...
He gave her everything she needed amd wanted and wished and dreamed and.....you get the point.
Luxury cars, a chauffeur, a nice house, $$$ for clothes, manicures, pedicures, yadda yadda yadda...
He pulak drives fancy cars, yadda yadda yadda...
This went on for a while...
All the pampering...
Til one day...
He 'downgraded' everything.
Switched his own big, fancy car for a very modest local car...
Took away his wife's fancy car and the chauffeur, told her to get her own driving license...
No more manicures, no more pedicures...
No more being the pampered wife.
He told her that the company wasn't doing too well...
When in fact, he was getting ready to sign the papers.
Yes.
Cruel.
He 'downgraded' everything and shifted all his assets into other people's names temporarily, all so he didn't have to pay her a large sum of alimony.
Slick, but oh-so-cruel to the unsuspecting naive wife.
So yeah, the divorce came and went.
The wife didn't wanna sign the papers and held on for as long as she could.
Ex-wife had to move out because the mistress shifted in with her new big, fancy car...
La-di-da.
So HERE'S the part I like most. (The subject matter below isn't accurately word for word, but yeah la, same la..)
After telling the story, my lecturer's like,
"Ha... See, girls? Next time, you better chop off the relationship before things get worse..."
Some girl sitting in front: "No la, chop off his thing!"
LOL

| Sweet Seventeen :) |
So yes, I can't seem to stop talking about The Dark Knight movie.. Can I help it?? It's so cool and delish!
Well, Bruce is delish =)
THE DARK KNIGHT SPOILER ALERT!!
ANDDD another thing, notice in all superhero or action hero movies, there's always a girl involved??
And how they always end up being the target or hostage of the hero's arch nemesis??
And the hero always, ALWAYS saves his girl in the nick of time????
Well yeah, same story here, except she dies.
Oh so very tragically.
Rachel aka Bruce Wayne(aka Batman)'s love interest DIES in a BOMB BLAST.
WHY???!!
Why of alllllllllllll the superheroes' girls...
It's the one named Rachel who has to die??
=(
Why so sad wan?
:(
:'(
OKAYYyyy...
Now for something happy :)

| Mosh Pit!! |
Last Saturday, Denise and I entered a club...
Underaged!!
YAYY!!
Hahaha.. Yes yes.. Cheap thrills, I know.. But yeah, Zouk was really cool =)
We were late for the MTV Mosh Pit auditions.. And apparently only the first 300 get the passes..
But there were only about 100 something people in the queue when we got there =D
Annneeeway, we were grouped up in batches of 30..
Then we went into where I think is the Mainroom..(am not sure, never been in there before..)
What we had to do to qualify was to make a lotta noise.. Jump around a lot.. And be a mosh pitter =D
Thing was.. I wasn't thinking properly when I left the house.. I wore HEELS.
Now you can try jumping around in them, but I'll spare you unnecessary pain, potential injuries and save you from looking like a frog jumping on toothpicks.
It hurtsalottt.
And then VJ Utt(used to have the hugest crush on him that I'd watch MTV everyday!!) and DJ Jin from hitz.fm goes on the dancefloor and slaps stickers on you.
Got the sticker slapped on you? Awesome. =D
You're an official MTV Mosh Pitter!! =D
Woohoo!! *punch fists in the air* *YES YES YES!!!!!*
Man I can't wait for August 2nd!!
Now... On a different matter altogether, is it just me or does Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne bear a striking resemblance to Tom Cruise???
And I won't have to ask because I know that it would be a unanimous YES to the question "Does The Dark Knight reign supreme to the others?"
Wo-ow Batman was good.
And Heath Ledger's The Joker will literally haunt you long after you leave the cinema hall..
Aiiight!! Gotta go back to some Taxation homework. Lol I'm blogging on my classmate's iPhone. It's so cool!! I want one too!! =D |

| No sex, but seks boleh =D |
One day, plans went horribly wrong, and I was left alone in a mall with hours to spare. I had nothing to do and no one to kacau... So I decided to go watch a movie =)
Isn't this fun? Lol. Yes I know I lead a very sad life.
Anyways, after seeing the line for 'Blockbuster' movies like Hancock and not being able to see where the end of the line was... I settled for The Nanny Diaries featuring Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans. I'd so totally choose that over a Will-Smith-saves-the-world-again movie anyways.
Now the cool thing was... EVERYONE decided to watch the Will-Smith-saves-the-world-again movie... SO I practically had the whole cinema to myself! =D
I could munch on the popcorn as loud and as annoyingly as I wanted...
I could prop my legs up on the seats in front or anywhere I wanted...
I could've snored as loud as I wanted to, or if I snored at all.
I could take off my clothes just for the fun of it if it wasn't the North Pole in the cinema hall.
I could've made love at the back of the cinema hall if I wanted to. If I had a guy with me la. Hee.
Anyways, the point is that it's cool =D
Okay fine, it seemed really nice at that point of time.
The movie was nice. Too lazy to write an ameteurish review of it...
But the movie got Scarlett's charac | | | |
