I began playing basketball since primary school, when the tennis court near my house was converted into a basketball court. I still remembered the first day the court was opened, I was there already. It has just rained.

There was an uncle there by the name of Jerry. It was then I first threw a basketball (threw instead of shoot because I do not know how to shoot yet). Uncle Jerry also taught me the proper way to shoot the ball though it seemed so difficult at first.

Jerseys belonging to my 2 other brothers and I, as well as our medals and trophies. All of us are proud to be representing our own schools. There are many more jerseys for participation in streetball tournaments though it makes no sense to post it here. We are all #10, following the footsteps of...

Back then, I could only throw the ball from a very close distance as I don't have the strenght to shoot the ball. I had a very awkward way of shooting the ball which is to use both hands and push the ball up from the chest. That's a very wrong step.

Back then, I never had the strength to do a single pumping. And I sprained the muscle on my left hand doing it, as the result I could not shoot using the same style anymore so I was forced to adapt to shooting using one hand, the right way.

Then I began joining streetball match, and subsequently to the school team, as a captain for Under 15 team which loss miserably but never the less, my team came back stronger and we clinched the 2nd runner up 2 years later in the Under 18 category.
I still remembered, all the trainings we had, under the burning hot sun everyday after school. We were not allowed to rest or even drink water unless we perform to our coach expectations. We were literally pushed to our limit.
Every year, there would be a period where I would be burned, and I would look so dark, I searched my documents and found this.

That was me many years back, Form 3 or was it Form 4. And yes, that was Jamie many years ago too. Compare that to me now, what do you expect from one who leaves the house before sunrise and leaves after sunsets.

Back then, I was quite thin and being assigned to play centre, my team mates were forcing me to eat more everyday to get some fats on the tummy. It was almost impossible to be fat those days, but it's the opposite nowadays.

Since I entered college, I rarely played basketball though the recently, I missed playing basketball and I can't wait to buy a new basketball shoes and start playing basketball.
