I spent this weekend doing nothing much except for developing some Windows Mobile applications and to flash WM6 into Mun Yew's Xphone II, see the screenshots for comparison between WM2003, WM5 and WM6
The most left is the phone running WM2003, followed by WM5 and lastly WM6. Definitely some huge improvements, if you are wondering how you can flash your phone to do the same, click on the Tutorial button on the left panel.
It's a sad thing that the manufacturers do not care much about after sales service. When asked if they will release an update for our phones, they will usually give the reason that they will not because our phone is not capable of running it. Yet we have to depend on ROM cookers from XDA-developers to cook the ROM, and when we did it, Microsoft sent a legal letter asking us to stop doing it and remove our entire ROM archive because of some license issue. Yea right, they are afraid people will not buy their new devices because upgrades are available for their old devices.
But no matter what, Windows Mobile device is surely a killer device.

Just this morning around 1.30a.m, the whole world watched with excitement as Steve Jobs of Apple unveiled the latest generation of iPods. As many have predicted, the new iPod looks like the iPhone, only that it does not come with the phone function. Hence, its thinner of course ! However, it is now called iPod Touch, it reminds me of HTC Touch. You get to watch DVD movies at the actual aspect ratio with the widescreen LCD, surely to be selling like hotcakes in United States. To me, these two models is just like a PDA phone comared to a Pocket PC. The new iPod touch features a new WiFi Itunes Store, where you can buy songs via WiFi. Apple also collaborated with Starbucks to offer a new feature, in which if you access a participating Starbucks WiFi, your IPod can show you what songs is being played, and you can download it. There is also no access fee and password needed if you are using iPod Touch. Ipod Touch also feature 2 other amazing application, YouTube video player and Safari web browser.
Besides that, iPod Nano got a new touch for its designs and user interface, the Nano isn't exactly 'nano' anymore, it has grown fatter so that you can watch crisp clear video on it. Meanwhile, there is iPod classic which looks like iPod video in first generation casing. However, the classic does have a 'classic' price to pay. 80GB version is USD$249 while the 160GB model is USD$349. On the other hand, the nano is slightly cheaper, USD$149 for the 4Gb version and USD$199 for the 8Gb version. As for the Shuffle, there are new colours available (some China brand iPod Shuffle had these colours long ago, read more to see the shuffle different colours)
That is not all, Apple has decided to get rid of all their 4GB version of iPhone, perhaps 4GB is just not enough for those in United States, it is selling for only 299 USD. But then, it is sim-locked by AT&T, but no worries, as there are unlocked iPhone's in Malaysia now. You will void your warranty for sure if you sim-unlock it !
Head on to Apple's website to see the ad, and some keynotes at the launch. Now, i'm wondering when will these make it to Apple retailers in Malaysia.host33.com/index.php?option=com_weblinks&task=vi

Remember the lie detector test that Ben Stiller had to go through to prove his worth to Robert De Niro in Meet The Parents? Well, now HITZ.FM, JJ and Rudy, are paying RM1000 for those who dare to be strapped in the lie detector machine. It's kinda funny, you can listen to some of the clips here.
Today, we had farewall ceremony for the principal, and she was not even retiring, just transferring, I was pissed because it wasted our time, we should not even go to school in the first place. Instead, I was looking forward to getting my chemistry exam papers, but Pn Fazira was still marking it. My result this time was not exactly satisfactory, I could have done better if the careless mistakes was excluded.
Yesterday, Eric was telling me about how good students in his school was in their academic, they have good teachers. Now I realized the biggest mistake I had made is to study in my current school. I had to really struggle and not all teachers are that helpful.
Meanwhile, I have been sleeping late few days back, the reason? I was actually helping to develop Chinese input method for Windows Mobile 6 users, kinda ironic that this is done by someone that doesn't know how to read or write Chinese. Either way, I succesfully did it and it was reported to work on Dopod 577w aka HTC Tornado and possibly other Windows Mobile 6 devices, yay!
I just need to get started off . . .
Anyway, happy birthday to Chi Wynn

Ok, I know you are already wondering what is an easter egg, well, an easter egg is a piece of program which is inserted for fun, might be some game, might be some pictures, etc.
Recenlty, an easter egg was discovered in the recent version of Google Earth , it is a flight simulator ! ( just in case you have been in a cave for years, Google Earth is an application which shows satelites image of the earth surface, the pictures are not real time, but clear enough for you to see whose car was parked outside your gate )
To enable the easter egg, hit Ctrl + Alt + A inside Google Earth. Enough said, i'll let the video and picture do the talking.
I just downloaded and tried, it works ! For info on keyboard shortcuts, click here

I realized most of my friends, their profile will have a large image covering their entire website, however that image is not loaded, so you will see a small x on the corner left top, but you can see the content of the profile behind the unloaded image.
When you attempt to click on any part of the friendster profile, for instance the picture, or send comment, you are actually clicking on the unloaded image which is not loaded, but linked to a phishing website (phishing refers to fishing out your information such as bank info by creating a similar website and fool you to enter the website and login)
When you click on the unloaded image and enter the website, you will see "Error trying to validate user" and it will ask you to reenter your password, I believe that if you got tricked and enter your password, the bot will login to your profile and add the malicious code as well. So guys, please becareful, PM those fella who got that malicious code on their website, remove the malicious code, and change their password One guy who kena is this guy http://profiles.friendster.com/11515353see how the malicious code looks like
<div style="
position:absolute;left:1px;top:1px;width:1000;z-index:9;height:2000;filter:alpha(opacity:0);
-moz-opacity:0.5">
<a href="http://alotavagina.com/friendster/">
<img src="http://lalala.com/lala.gif" border="0" height="100%" width="100%">
</a><p> <br />
So thats the code they injected, let me explain the code
<img src="http://lalala.com/lala.gif" border="0" height="100%" width="100%">
This sentence means that they load a non existence image, so you will see a small x which you wont notice, and the image is made to span across the page 100 % height and width
style="position:absolute;left:1px;top:1px;width:1000;z-index:9;height:2000;filter:alpha(opacity:0);
-moz-opacity:0.5"
this CSS style moves the image on the absolute corner, so you wont notice the small x
Please spread the news, to remove it, simply login to your Friendster, and remove it under "About me", and then change your password
So far, I noticed Cai Jin, Han Yik and Geraldine profile are those which are infected, and there are many more I believe, so spread the word !
